Sippy cup blues

We've got 'em.

Madelyn is not interested in the sippy cup. We've tried several different brands and styles and she still refuses them all. She'll put the spout of a few of them in her mouth and take very small sips but other than that, there isn't much happening in our house in terms of sippy cup usage.

We (Madelyn) started in the toddler room full-time this week so she's had a lot of change. She's exhausted and teething on top of it. I'm not completely surprised that she's regressing to the bottle but just hope that next week brings our sweet, little Madelyn back.

  1. The good thing is, she will never be asked at what age she started using a sippy cup- it just won't matter! I personally feel like every kid has their own unique set of switches and when they flip, they're ready- just like that. Some will talk up a storm very early but not walk until 15 months. Some will walk at 9 months and not be potty trained until they're 4.

Teething is terrible. I heart Motrin. How is the toddler room going now?

  2. I never had one student come to my kindergarten classroom with a bottle or sippy cup, for that matter! Madelyn is just waiting for the right time for her.
Teething is terrible for everyone; you got that right!
